Extremely quiet, convenient to use and versatile – this is the FZN PRO cascade filter. You can fill the spacious filter media container with convenient cartridges or adapt it to your own requirements. With a range of features to choose from, you will find it a pleasure to use.

A filter tailored to your needs

We have taken care of a number of features that will make using the FZN PRO filter a pleasure.

Don’t like waiting for the filter to start at full power? With the FZN PRO, you will not have this problem. By placing the motor under water, the filter starts working immediately once plugged in, without the need for prior priming.

Worried that if the power supply is cut off, your filter won’t start up when the power is back on? The FZN PRO will start working immediately and treat the water in your tank straight away. Thanks to the safe placement of the motor underwater, even prolonged power cuts will not be a surprise for this filter.

The telescopically adjustable* intake tube allows you to precisely adjust the length to suit the tank in question. Adjust the water intake location to the height of the substrate in your tank. This will work especially well with unusual aquarium sizes.

Adjust the performance of the filter as you see fit and as needed. We have placed a large, convenient adjustment knob on the top of the case. It allows you to seamlessly adjust the force with which the filter operates.

You will perfectly match the position of the filter to your tank. This is ensured by a convenient round controller that you can precisely set the right water level with.

Despite the large volume of the filter media container, the housing is slim and does not take up much space. The casing outside the tank is only 9.5 cm thick.

Quiet as a whisper

The Aquael designers have ensured that the FZN PRO filter operates as quietly as possible. The sound generated by the largest filter in the family is only 32 dB – as much as a quiet whisper. The thoughtful design ensures maximum noise suppression. This is because:

  • The filter outlet is flush with the surface, so that the outflowing water creates a pleasant murmuring effect. Forget about bubbling or loud overflowing water.
  • The motor is placed underwater. This provides natural sound insulation, through the soundproofing effect of the water.

The FZN PRO is another cascade filter concept in the Aquael portfolio. It is ideal for a variety of tank types, be they nano aquaria or shrimp tanks, or larger tanks of up to 300 litres. A great choice for small marine tanks where the cascading water drop creates a natural wave that mimics the movement of the sea.

  • Any contact between the filter housing and the aquarium glass is protected with rubber. This reduces the vibration of the running unit and eliminates any knocking or banging of the filter housing.
  • Linear holes are added to the top of the case. This reduces the resonant horn effect inside the unit. It also improves gas exchange.

Do you prefer a solution tailored to your own preferences? You can use the spacious filter chamber for any additional bulk materials of your choice. Arrange them in layers as in a typical cascade filter or put together your own arrangement with one or more cartridges.

Don’t want to spend a lot of time maintaining an aquarium? Take advantage of the simplicity offered by ready-made filter cartridges. With a single movement, you remove the basket* with the dedicated cartridges and clean or replace them.
Depending on the filter model, it will contain from 1 to 6 openwork containers for filter cartridges:
  • FZN PRO 400 – 1 container
  • FZN PRO 700 – 2 container
  • FZN PRO 1000 – 4 container
  • FZN PRO 1500 – 6 container
